This park is situated in the southwestern region of Uganda, close to the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is a spectacular area that is framed against the spectacular backdrop of the Rwenzori mountains. The park boasts a wide range of terrain features including volcanic craters, acacia woodlands, savannah grasslands, tropical forests, and swamps. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque views of the Kazinga Channel with abundant herds of buffalo, elephants, and kobs. Boat rides across the Kazinga Channel, which links two lakes, Edward and George, are also available.
